IMPROVING INDIVIDUALS COMMUNITIES

There is a long history of people working to improve their communities in and out of ODISHA and across other States. Over the past ten to twelve years however, there has been a dramatic increase in local community-based activity. The term community development’ has been used to describe many of these activities including everything from credit unions to housing associations, community centers, education and training schemes, and trading enterprises.

Community Development Innstititions has launched with an eye to uplift the community and develop a Think Tank Series to examine the changing theories and practices of community development in Odisha means Overall Costal-Western-Central & Northern all put together as well as the many challenges that is observed by current community development Workers, the community and voluntary sector more generally.

The Think Tanks will provide an opportunity for those committed to community development to reflect on their practice, develop new insights and ideas, raise difficult questions and share their knowledge and experience. In drawing together a regular audience of approximately quantified policymakers, practitioners and researchers from across The World, the Think Tanks also will help to promote increased networking, collaboration and co-operation between individuals, organisations and other respective sectors. We hope the Think Tanks can thereby continue to promote ‘dynamic thinking for dynamic action.’

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all the existing members, all of our facilitators and Suggestors for their important contributions, as well as everyone who want to join the Think Tanks Team for participating so fully and openly for the Development Programme and expect that more and more young mass-individuals to join the development initiations, We welcome all the helping hands and noble thoughts to attain the ultimate integrities for the noble Institution.
